Our Arts and Crafts FAQs section is here to provide all the details you need about the creative activities offered at Thornfield Care Home. From the types of projects available to how we tailor activities to individual interests and abilities, we aim to ensure every resident feels inspired and engaged. Whether you’re wondering about the frequency of sessions, the materials provided, or how we support residents with different skill levels, this section offers answers to help you better understand the enriching artistic opportunities that await at Thornfield.

Residents can choice whether they would like to keep their works and proudly display them within their room or gift them to family or friends, but if a staff member notices your brilliant work and believes it belongs somewhere where everyone can see it, they may ask whether it can be displayed somewhere in the home.

Our arts and crafts program events are open to anybody who wishes to participate. We aim to cater to every skillset and ability within our activities, and although these programmes are aimed for our residents, their family members are welcome to attend. The more the merrier.

Our dedicated team here at Thornfield will provide all the required art supplies for the activity at hand, but if you feel you’d like to be even more adventurous, you can of course bring in any other art items you believe would be beneficial.

There are many things you can make at our regular arts and crafts events. Residents and free to, and encouraged to make whatever you like.
